To
Whom It May Concern:
It
is with great pleasure that I congratulate Mr. Raices on receiving the Robert
E. Freedman Retailer Award for his service to the Great Neck Retail
Community. Mr. Raices has been a
volunteer with the American Cancer Society for our Road to Recovery program
since 2002. Road to Recovery is an
American Cancer Society service program that provides cancer patients with
transportation to and from scheduled treatment appointments. Volunteer drivers donate both their time and
the use of their personal vehicles to take patients to treatments and return them
to their homes.
I
would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the degree of dedication and
volunteerism, which Mr. Raices has given to the American Cancer Society. Lack of transportation has become a major
problem for thousands of cancer patients.
Many patients need daily or weekly treatments, often over a period of
months, and they simply have no transportation or are too ill to drive. Through
Mr. Raices volunteerism, many patients have been able to receive the treatment
they require and Mr. Raices has become an invaluable part of our volunteer
team.
There
are many volunteer opportunities with the American Cancer Society. If you would like to join Mr. Raices and us
in the fight against cancer, please contact me with any questions.
Congratulations
again, to Mr. Raices on his high honor.
Sincerely,

Gabrielle
